Prompto lightly began to drift asleep, lured by the sounds of Ignis cooking, Noctis soft breathing and the low humming of the TV volume. At some point he vaguely woke up and glanced at the TV. Of course Noctis had put in his favorite superhero movie.Gladio had also arrived at some point, but he was oddly quieter than usual. And then when Prompto was awoken by Ignis, Gladio was gone and Noctis had migrated to a blanket pile on the floor just below the couch, and changed into his pajamas.“Prompto. Time for dinner.” Ignis spoke comfortingly. Like a parent consoling a distressed child. The advisor offered his non-soup holding hand.Prompto tiredly opened his eyes and slowly sat up, using Ignis free arm to brace himself. Afterward, he was given a warm bowl of soup broth. It smelled so freaking good, Prompto could individually recognize the different spices Ignis used.“It’s just broth today. Perhaps tomorrow we can try solids like noodles and soft vegetables.”“Ah thank you so much Iggy.” Prompto found himself drooling. Oh yeah, he hadn’t eaten anything besides three peppermints in twenty four hours. The blonde gently sipped the soup. He feared an incident like the first one with the water, but instead the soup was warm and it felt good in his throat.“Of course. Has the pain lessened any?”Prompto nodded. “It doesn’t hurt as much…it’s slowly fading out.”“Good, it should get better with lots of care and rest.” Ignis sat down across from Prompto. “I will be leaving for the night in a few hours but I have left everything within arm’s reach for you. Just be mindful not to step on Noctis when you get up.”Prompto laughed as he nodded. He felt oddly sad that Ignis was leaving. Was Ignis just dropping him like a hot frying pan? Noctis was his responsibility not Prompto so it made sense. And Prompto was used to being abandoned, it’s what his parents had done as soon as he turned twelve. It didn’t hurt anymore.Despite that, Prompto felt nothing but fear as Ignis spoke of leaving.Ignis, as if he was sensing Prompto’s fears, gently placed his hand on his shoulder. “Me and Gladio will be back tomorrow. Gladio is coming at noon but I will be here as soon as the sun comes up.”Prompto hesitated but nodded. “Okay. Thanks for everything you’ve done for me today.”“You don’t have to thank me Prompto. You're my dear friend. Now finish your soup. I left a mug of tea for you as well when you're ready for it.” Ignis smiled at Prompto and it was the most genuine smile Prompto had ever seen.
FF7 Advent Children
“I promised you I wouldn’t leave you alone again and I’m going to keep our promise, so take a load off. We haven’t made our goal of expanding the delivery service into mercenary work yet! And until then we have to keep going!” Zack grinned. “We can look for a cure together. This isn’t just your fight.”Cloud inhaled and nodded, forcing Zack’s smile to wash away the panic inside his chest. “I’ve…been looking for a cure. Maybe…tomorrow we can check near the edge of Midgar?”“Yeah! Sounds good!” Zack nodded and quickly hid the cough in his sleeve. “Tomorrow at the same time?”Cloud of course realized that the cough Zack had developed when they first met was not due to the dust from riding long distances, it was a geostigma cough.“Yeah. I’ll be here at 7am. And if you need to stay in at all…just let me know I’ll rework the schedule.”Now that Cloud knew Zack also had the stigma, he wanted to make sure he got the needed rest as well.“Alright then see you in a bit! Get some rest!” Zack waved bye as he hoisted his backpack over his shoulder and took his sword out of Fenrir’s sword compartment.The EX-SOLDIER watched him hurry off onto the sidewalk and head in the opposite direction towards the large corporate building.Releasing a sigh, Cloud swung his body back onto Fenrir to start his drive back home.However, instead of starting the engine and gripping the handle bars, he instead hunched over the bars and cried profusely, sobs wracking his body. He didn’t care who saw.Having geostigma himself wasn’t all that bad, it was actually expected at this point, because everything in Cloud’s life went wrong from the day he left home to join Shinra.But Zack having geostigma took the wind out of his sails.

"Oh Lan! Good morning!" Haruka turned around from the stove.'Her voice is more chippy than usual.' Lan thought unsurely."Good morning? Um...I'm late for school and Megaman is gone?""Ah yes...we decided to keep you home today. You never miss any days so~" Haruka turned off the stove and moved the frying pan. "Megaman is out with Papa. I think they're working on some important machinery and want your help.""Oh okay." That made a lot more sense."I'll be done with breakfast soon, in the meantime why don't you give Papa a call and tell him that you're awake?"Lan nodded and did as he was told. His father had told him they would be home shortly so Lan was more than surprised when his father came in through the backdoor."Papa!" Lan said rather excitedly but startled. "I thought you were gone?""Ahaha just in the lab my boy. I was working on something I thought you might like to see.""Ah! What is it?" It was probably something for the net saviors."Well...that's a surprise isn't it?" Dr.Hikari smiled and Lan tilted his head."Surprise?"Haruka giggled in the background and Lan knew his parents were definitely up to something."I guess I missed something? Oh maybe Megaman knows what's going on! Papa, do you have him? Is he okay?""Why don't you ask him yourself?" His father stepped aside and there was a boy behind him."Hi Lan!" Megaman said as waved nervously. For some reason even though he was excited he was also incredibly nervous and it felt like a lump was in his throat."H-Hub?" Lan stuttered as he rushed over. "You're real?!" He cried as he grabbed his brother's arms and then felt his face. "Y-You're actually real?! Am I dreaming?""Nope!" Hub hugged Lan tightly and Lan hugged back in disbelief. "Surprise!""You're actually here...you're alive...I..I...can't believe this." Lan sniffled and Hub realized he was crying."Aw, don't cry Lan." The older boy sniffled himself."I'm not crying silly...s-some dust got in my eye y-yeah." Lan shook his head as his parents laughed quietly and his brother did too. "I missed you s-so much.""I missed you too Lan...I finally got to meet you in the real world." Hub patted his brother’s head."Best gift ever.""Glad to hear it." Dr.Hikari smiled.There was a small moment of silence, but it was comfortable. "Hub? Um....Can I call you that?""Of course. Makes more sense now that I'm human right?"Lan nodded. "Hub. Please don't let go.""I won't." Hub hugged Lan tighter.Their first meeting couldn't have gone better.

Princess Peach stood on the cliffside looking out at the World of Dark. It was as big as the World of Light was. Which was overwhelming. Peter Piranha Plant was underneath the tree along with Mega Man. Peach had directed them somewhere relatively safe so they could rest. She also wouldn't let any of the kids go out to fight, they had been through enough already. And as children they naturally made their own fun.Redesa played with the younger kids which included Ness, Lucas, Villager, Kirby, and Pichu. She was still a kid herself technically but definitely old enough to watch them herself. Just moments later, Mario joined the Princess at the cliffside."Oh Mario…" Peach trembled. "Our Smash Family is….broken isn't it?""Not while we can-do something-a about it. We won't rest-a until everyone-a is safe."Peach nodded. "I just hate seeing everyone so hurt...whether it's emotionally or physically. But you're right. We'll save everyone." She glanced at Mario who gave her a warm smile."You got it Princess!""Thank you dear." Peach whispered as she laced their fingers. Together they observed the world they would have to save.
Sonic the Hedgehog
The island was vast. Unexplored, uninhabited but nothing but the Kocos and the remnants of the ancients inhabiting the land.Sonic was used to the cycle by now; arrive at the new island, explore until he found his loved one, rescue them, and explore the rest of the island in search for the chaos emeralds to ultimately take down whatever Titan Sage had guarding it.This was the fourth go around, Amy, Knuckles, and Tails had already been rescued and taken care of. As the hero awoke on the next island, he couldn’t help but notice it was far more desolate than the other islands.There weren’t any ancient guardians seeking to shish-kabob him or attack him upon sight. The island was rather quiet and peaceful for once. The voice from the sky as he called her (or it, he wasn’t really sure) told him he needed to silence the six towers to proceed to clearing the final lock. So Sonic bid Tails a quick goodbye, picked his body up, and headed off until the next island.His mind rang the words “Rhea Island” so he figured that was the name of the island thanks to the Cyberspace energy. The island was vast, but the towers couldn’t be missed.It was when Sonic was breezing through the vast open greenery when he noticed another cyberspace capsule; the red and black ovular containment capsule couldn’t be missed.The hedgehog hurried to the capsule and placed his hands on the inside. A quick glance on the inside showed it to be none other than a familiar tomboy princess. She was seated on her knees in the capsule and her orange hair fell into her face. The woman was unusually quiet, staring down at her hands, occasionally glancing around. It was a learned experience at this point that she couldn’t hear or see him in the pocket dimension. Sonic made it a point to remember her location.“I’ll get you out of here, don't worry.” The hedgehog nodded to himself before dashing off in the opposite direction.
